I did like it. It is a collection of late 1950s rock and roll covers, and it is quite good, I am really looking forward to seeing it live, but it is a little bland. Domo23 – Tyler The Creator – AT 21, Tyler’s latest release puts his earlier work in perspective: they were straight autobiography and so is it. The reason it isn’t as interesting as “Bastard” is because rich rappers nailing European models isn’t as interesting as teenage kids dealing with life with no father – Grade: B

We find pleasant what we are used to listen to, and unpleasant novelties we can’t comprehend at the first listening. On the other hand, musical training increases our exposure to different kinds of chords and harmonies, and so also increases our ability to identify them and enjoy them.

I’ve heard huge arguments about who is better Morrissey or Marr but this ends the argument completely. Marr is no Morrissey and this albums flies when Marr plays, the way the new Wayne Shorter works when he plays, but otherwise it crashes and burns. A major major crash and burn disast
The Major Lazer album looks like fun but who is kidding who? This is Nick Cave’s week and the Bad Seeds is one of the biggest of, at least, the season. I was listening to Dig Lazarus Dig earlier today and I simply prefer Bad Seeds to Grinderman and I’ve listened to the new one a few times and it is gonna be a biggie.
Young Adult Friction – The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart – Shoegaze? I dunno, the vocals are way way up and the jingle jangle is resembles Belle And Sebastian circa “Seeing Other People”. Maybe the band didn’t want this, but that’s a shame because this was the sound they should’ve pursued – Grade: A
