Tegan Gives Her Opinion About Tyler The Creator

Does Tegan really think Tyler is homophobic? Does she think he means it when he sings ‘Kill people burn shit fuck school’. Furthermore, one of Odd Future’s member is the openly gay woman Syd ‘Tha Kyd’ Bennett, they are a parody of an idea, a fantasy in 3-D,… or according to Tyler’s own statement: ‘It’s fucking art, listen to the fucking story’.

The New Girls Single, 'Lawrence' Reviewed

You gave me something to love, or in other words you gave me love itself. You took something that can sometimes feel so common and dull and brought it back to life with so much beauty and verse. You gave me happiness, and you still do. Anyway, I’d just like you to have it, it’s yours, take it as yours

Bed Michael Jackson Died In Up For Sale

The items in the house Michael Jackson was renting when he died are up for auction including the very bed he died in. Now quite why anybody would want this horrible, ghoulish gift I can’t say but I promise you that the entire nterprise stinks of grave robbing.

"Tower Heist" reviewed (More Or Less)

the draggy theft flick is like “Ocean’s 11” for folks with personality flaws. A Madoff type character get naileds for a Ponzi scheme and abscons with the pensions of the employees at “The Tower” who want it back

Fearless Friends Tour 2011, Conduct Food Drive, Sometime.

Fearless Records annual “Fearless Friends Tour”, reaches out to some communities but not all. I wonder why they have such limited locations for such a noble idea. Simply calling each venue to get a food banks name or simply entrusting a ‘street teamer’ to do the work would have made this so much more grand.

Interview Abort: Blood On The Dance Floor

A band since 2008, founding member Dahvie Vanity has had more wing men than Rock Hudson, not sure why- but he is the only constant. The band plays upbeat party music with a sense of humour. I wouldn’t call them epic or trendsetting by any means. There have been far too many before them…

You Me At Six "Bite My Tongue", Reviewed

You Me At Six, is a great band but uh oh, someone needs to put them back on track. The song begins well enough with a powerful beat and deep sound but the chorus? The chorus is the most dreadful generic rock band inspired wavelength of vomit I have heard in a great while. Its as if they just said ‘aww fuckit’ and threw it on tape.

Nada Surf Tour North America

“it’s actually referring to something much more existential, it’s just surfing on nothing. Being lost in your head or in your imagination but you know, whenever I listen to music I always find myself off somewhere. Somewhere in space. You know, in mental space and it’s a reference to that.”

Said the Whale: The Mint, Friday November 4th, 2011 Reviewed

Ben Worcester and Tyler Bancroft’s gentle guitar duels, accompanied by Jaycelyn Brown’s keyboard and Nathan Shaw and Spencer Schoening’s rhythm section were building the music, but it was the long-sustained five-part harmonies, completed by powerful chants that was characterizing the most their sonic landscapes

The Bo-Keys: Amoeba Monday, November 6th, 2011 Reviewed

Yeah, I was expecting to see John Belushi jump from behind the curtain of the Amoeba stage at any moment during the performance of the Bo-Keys. Woe Is Me Covers Katy Perry’s ‘TGIF’

Fearless Records now infamous “Punk Goes…” series is generally a great compilation of up and coming bands covering todays pop hits. Consider it something like Kids Bop with a beard. What worries us this time is the initial leak by the band Woe is Me. Katy Perry is a fun perfomer to cover but the band does absolutely nothing with it- other than make it worse.

RADIOHEAD U.S. TOUR 2012

Now nothing more than a low rung Indie band far below caliber of those in the genre that followed behind them. I wouldn’t go so far as to call them grandfathers of the scene, but they had their short lived space and basically ruined it for themselves. Its hard to be a down to Earth Indie band when your front man is an egocentrical..egocentric. Yeah that bad.

Odd Future Dropped From Music Festival For Homophobia

“You are proving that you have little concern for the lives and welfare of LGBT people, that you are willing to endanger their lives, and seek to encourage stigmatisation against them. I find this disappointing in an organisation that could do so much to enhance the self-esteem of youth, reduce stigma, and discourage violence.”

All Time Low is a band that will not stop moving. Touring and recording like a boss and showing no signs of slowing down. Of course, more touring will follow but if there is one thing you can be certain of their material never gets stale.
