1. Swim Good – Frank Ocean – No "She" but no "No Church In The Wild" either; the song is light but deep, airy but it holds on.
2. Smart – Girl In A Coma – If the concept is a female Smiths it doesn't work but then how could it? For a concept that isn't all there, this song is about as close as you can humanly get. It jangles miserably.
3. Good Feeling – Flo Rida – Less poppy, more dance than we're used, the Flo flowing to the tp of the charts.
4. Superman – Taylor Swift
5. Ask – The Smiths – One of their greats, and completely weird and introverted.
6. Devil May Care – Diana Krall – Over a decade ago, his is the one that made a believer of me.
7. Backwards Down The Number Line – Phish – They don't do this type of pop-rock move often, I'm guessing because they don't want to.
8. Kiss On My List – Daryl Hall And John Oates – I dissed this in the Village Voice (on possibly my worst review ever) and got death threats in return.
9. Video Girls – Lana Del rey – Another pick for 2012.
10. Tear Me Down – Wesley Wolfe
