How I love Warped and how I adore how they stay so cutting edge not only in the bands chosen but in their operating procedures. Warped Tour as a business is one of the best run operations I have encountered. They have it all figured out.

There were a boatload of people sad to see Van Halen cancel the duration of their summer tour. All those tailgate plans dashed with the swoop of a pen. After coming back to some rave reviews the hype machine has shows selling out in record time. Van Halen were back and they were killing it on stage.
What I am claiming is every thing they touch they bring enormous passion to. The entire album brims with this passionate over the top zenithed out intensity and love. Maybe Eutopia take themselves too seriously, but maybe they deserve to.

And most of all, its many many nooks and crannies from where you can perch and see the stage fine, this is the club that sets the standards.

I’m Still The Same Person – Sister Crayon – How were they last night? I dunno yet, but if this is anything to go by they were a haunted buncha kids with a good chick singer, sound effects and keyboards aplenty in this Sacramento indie band – Grade: B+
His set at Best Buy on Saturday night was the man we have seen for over 35 years; playing his solo material, more,than that, his 21st Century solo material, looking back atsome mid-90s solo career highs and throwing in an occasional Jam song for taste.
Opening up with a Damien Rice tune, playing a few unreleased songs, and even an acoustic rendition of “Seed”, it was certainly eclectic. The live version of “Girl You Should Have Been A Drummer” was so great and his energy was untoppable.
I may not be a big fan of the new LP but I am still a very big fan of Garbage and want them to continue to perform and record. There really arent band out there that offer the same intelligent lyrics delivered with a disturbing edgy quality. I say we hold on to these guys as long as we can.
They are like waking dreams of life on what might well be the best coast. It beats down on you what might be the endless summer, heat of the day till the night when the beach is closed and aging and longing and time in the only place moves slowly longingly away.

Tulisa is yet another X Factored in star and Saturdays the sort of band that hasn’t cracked the States since Spice Girls and the top three songs should remain there through August.
