The Hopeless Records heroes have some of the most intricate melody and lovely vocals for a ‘post punk / hardcore’ band. I wouldn’t consider them any of those genre’s though. The Wonder Years are quite simply quality rock and roll. I love their thought provoking lyrics that are delivered a bit more intelligently than most bands.
I stripped them away and decided their was only two types of pop music: Mainstream and alternative. Look at it this way, Calvin Harris is mainstream, Skrillex is alternative. Nickelback are mainstream, Fucked Up are alternative.

Around the time Usher released this huge hit, he was well on his way to becoming what he claimed he most wanted to: the next Michael jackson.
