Honestly, how is this possible? Lennon, Starr and Harrison have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and not McCartney? I don’t pay attention to these things (who does?) so I had never noticed, however Paul McCartney was chosen in 1993 by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, was supposed to unveil his own star in 1998, but the presentation ceremony could not be scheduled for some reasons.
But this oddity is going to disappear soon as he is finally getting his star on the famous Walk of Fame during a ceremony scheduled on February 9th. The location is a no-brainer, along the Capitol Records building, with the other Beatles.
At least he can be happy to get his when he is still alive, as Lennon and Harrison received theirs more than 7 years after their death.
These kinds of ceremony are always in the middle of the day, during a weekday, so there is no chance for me to wander over there,… but Hollywood boulevard will sure be crowded. And you know what? February 9th (1964) was the Beatles’ first US TV appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show,…awww, so perfect!
