She is a talented person, no doubt. Recorded one of the best albums on 2012. But gimme a break, they're in the process of putting up a statue for Chuck berry -remember him? Invented the language of rock and roll -that Chuck Berry. What the hell are they putting up a statue of a 30 something pop singer?
There is something denigrating about the entire enterprise. If Beyonce is being immortalized in bronz now, what will they do for her when she is 60? Where is there left to go?
Developers at Armdeonce Ventures are designing a statue which will highlight the singer's life and showcase memorabilia from her career.
According to contactmusic.com, the CEO of Ceo of Armdeonce Ventures, Marcus Mitchell, told My Fox Houston, "Our biggest thing is a lot of people get honoured when they die, so our goal is to why not honour people why they're still here? We felt as though it’s her time to be honoured. We wanted to construct, like, a massive hall so as the doors open, if you donated to the monument, you'll have a separate nameplate.
"There will be clips of Beyonce with Destiny’s Child and wardrobe like a mini museum. We’ve gotten support from the city of Houston, from the mayor."
Also according to contactmusic.com: "Proceeds from the site will be donated to a number of charitable organisations, including Music for America and Beyonce's Survivor Foundation, which offers relief to victims of natural disasters.Bosses are hoping to unveil the project on 4 September (12) – the same day as Beyonce's birthday"
