The tune is short and sweet, fast and the melody is complex and wonderful, and feels like a classic punk song. “You wonder how long something can last- pretty sure most people don’t think about that. But who the fuck is laughing now?”
To be honest, in the three other times I’ve seen Two Humans, I’ve never seen them have as much fun. I know it won’t convince them to stay together or just constantly keep playing shows (please), but I’m glad that they could enjoy themselves.

We’ve been waiting for something to get excited about this week and here it is: Emili Sande’s producer with a handful of excellent soul dance UK syle. The Ella Eyre song is terrific, the (six) Emili tracks all fine, Ed Sheeran over emotes but what can you expect? Hey, there’s Professor Green! And altogether this feels like a state of the art superstar UK soul album – ALBUM OF THE WEEK – A-
Sebastian Bach has hundreds of thousands of fans on the blue social media site yet his latest solo release Give ‘Em Hell’ only sold 4,000 copies in the States during the first week of release. How can that be?
He gave his roommate access to his personal bank account to “pay shared living expenses.” Something’s fishy there. I understand trusting your roommate but that’s a stupid move and I really don’t think he’s that stupid.
The only bummer of the show is the fact that the staff was a bit out of control, pulling people out of the “pit” left and right. It was disappointing and totally not justified because no one was getting hurt, but I guess they’d never dealt with an event of this magnatude before
I love them, and was hoping they’d make a video for this tune. Matthew’s voice really gets to shine because it’s a slower song and he croons a bit and shows off just how well he can sing. “Now if you never shoot, you’ll never know and if you never eat, you’ll never grow,” he sings.
I don’t listen to will.i.am, Flo Rida or the gamut of YouTubers, rappers and trendsetting, dark lipstick-wearing, side-of-head-shaving, abusive-relationship-returning, butt-implanting, Barbie-doll/robot-idiosyncrasy-whining, spending, debasing, shaming, misplaced-popular-influence-pissing pseudo-performing pop stars
ason’s voice is better than ever, strong and passionate, and he’s forever one of my favorite vocalists. When it shifts from a slow ballad to an upbeat fast paced punk tune, it’s impossible to not get up and dance. It’s amazing to me how these three guys can create such a massive sound
There are several good covers, a Yoko Ono here, a Bob Dylan there and a Lana Del Rey everywhere: they all work pretty well albeit not very well, his best solo album by a lot shot but it misses that one sure shot to get him back where he was
I’m pretty sure he can sing higher than I can. It was absolutely gorgeous and all of the effects he used, such as harmonizing or reverb, added so much more. I really didn’t know he was going to sing so much, but it was absolutely stunning.
Most importantly, the all ages stage will have: Pissed Jeans, Chalk Talk, The Guru, Heavy Breath, Two Humans, The DustBusters, and a few others. The rest of the stages are 21+, which is a bummer, but those playing on the 3 other stages include Kung Fu, McLovins, MC Paul Barman, Ceschi, Snooty Garland, Violent Mae, and The Backyard Committee.
“Benson Hedges” is gorgeous. It’s way better than the one on the album and I could barely contain myself when I heard it. I instantly fangirled and wanted to dance around. It’s so well done and stunning and the harmonies are a hundred times better like this.
It was the craziest crowd I’d seen in a really long time. The passion of the fans mixed with the energy and the thumping background music they had, it was intense and I was glad I wasn’t in the crowd because I would’ve been terrified
The sound was flawless and even with everyone singing along, you could make out all the little details of the song. Seeing it live made me appreciate it even more, and I never wanted their set to end
Anyone singing along around me was on the verge of tears, and rightfully so. This band was making us feel something, and regardless of anything outside of the venue, we were all feeling it together.
It’s gorgeous and heartfelt, a slow ballad that’s heartbreaking and proves that the man still knows exactly how to play a song so that it tugs at your heartstrings. His guitar skills are phenomenal, and he seems to be more charismatic in his performance than usual.
I love when Sheeran raps, and though he doesn’t quite get there in this tune, but gets really close. I love it. It has a definite Justin Timberlake-vibe, dancey and upbeat but complex and funky.
I wasn’t sure if the acoustics in the venue were bad or the sound guy messed up, but I found that I was struggling to hear him. What I could make out was good, smooth and clear vocals that were worth struggling to hear. The man’s downfall was he was a bit arrogant.
The band put on a brilliant set, the perfect mix of old and new songs, and that was so nice to see because it showed that the band doesn’t just want to play all their new stuff. They played at least one song off of every album, and the diversity is what made this show stand out.
Regardless of whether or not this song is meant to be funny or go viral or what have you, that does not justify the poor taste. There is absolutely nothing funny about sexual harassment, and I don’t care how many views you want to get on a video
I have no idea what the hype is; I never liked Nirvana and always thought Cobain was kinda twat. Going as far as to google, “why do people like Kurt Cobain”, it still blows my mind. I mean, all you really know to determine the fact that he was a moron was that he stated stated that the Sex Pistols were “one million times more important than the Clash”
Last year they said they were back, and went to fund their way to an album through their fans. They had a $25k goal, reached it, and are using the money to make a new record
Obviously there’s some draw to kids my age, because we’re the target demographic of a lot of bands, but I am consistently flattered whenever there’s a band that wants to sit down and talk to me. I’m not exactly sure what I did to get so lucky, but I couldn’t have done everything I have without Rock NYC.
It’s definitely more likely that this is all a hoax, and if you watch the video of the announcement, they’re all pretty stoic and emotionless, and it kind of just feels like a big joke. There’s no way that this isn’t just them messing with us.
There’s not enough belting in the alt/indie music scene, and unless you’re Brendon Urie, it’s for good reason, but I really had no idea that Ace had this in him. It feels so raw and emotional
Watching it proved to me that there’s literally no way someone can say that Matt Healy, the frontman, is not talented. From beginning to end, he’s impressive and spot-on with everything he does.
Though quite ‘mainstream’-sounding and not as pop punk as it claims, it’s a good listen and a good starter album for anyone getting more into said pop-punk scene. It’s well done, very smooth, and ridiculously catchy.
I don’t want to say that it sounds happy, but it isn’t your typical woe-is-me Oberst tune. It’s definitely a sign that he’s grown up, and seeing that transition is something that really touches me.
It was at Shea Stadium (no, not that Shea Stadium) in Brooklyn, a venue and studio that anybody who’s anybody frequents. What’s really cool is that because it’s a recording studio, the entire show will probably be available to re-live when they release it.
The video features Jack as a therapist, just dumped, listening to other people’s problems and pleads of ‘I wanna get better’ but not actively doing anything about it. He seems distressed, distracted, disgusted.
It’s all a massive disappointment and I’m really disappointed in the use of objectifying women just to get people to listen to your awful music. It’s a low blow, an awful tactic, and absolutely dull and distasteful.

The story behind the band name, because it’s strange, is that he likes Calvin and Hobbes, and it was the last comic they’d ever done. I thought that was really sweet, and that had finally put an end to my wondering.
It’s 13 tracks, each by a different artist associated with the label. What drew me to it was the fact that Alex G, Ricky Eat Acid, and none other than Elvis Depressedly, were involved.

I never really noticed or appreciated his voice until I saw this live video; the man has some serious talent and by the fourth or fifth time I watched it, it really hit me, how much the band has really grown up.
I’ve never really given these guys the time of day but there’s an immense amount of hype surrounding them so I figured I’d dive a little deeper.
They’ve moved on from writing about their daddy issues and having a harder sound to settling into something that I think feels more comfortable for them and they’re not forcing anything.
Started in ’99, they’ve released some killer albums, toured with big names, and really built up a massive reputation. They’re positively iconic, and their new album, “Happiness Is” just furthered my love for them and their music.
There’s so many different components to this song, making it a song that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The guitars are powerful and when the tune picks up instrumentally, there’s some strings in there that gives this a feel that no other Seahaven song has.

It was packed as hell- easily 100 people were squished into this little suburban home- and loud and the house felt like it had a pulse. Luckily, the cops didn’t come and we enjoyed our night of blaring music and dancing with reckless abandon in peace.
They played fast and it was exhilarating and energetic and raw. They have a real classic punk feel, which really appealed to me. They captured the feeling of 80s punk without being cheesy or cliche or lame.
The pairing of Sting and Simon is less questionable and I understand the intention behind the experiment of the music and combined talent. Sting, while more fit and ten years Garfunkel’s junior, is Simon’s other half … for about a third of the show.
It’s powerful and once it hits the chorus, there’s an impactful bumping up of energy, making this single rise to the top of the list of songs I want to see performed live. It has a good group-vocal feel, which is necessary for pretty much any pop punk song.
the crowd wasn’t just full of fans, it was friends. They knew the callbacks of the songs, made jokes, danced around with reckless abandon. It was a massive dance party, and it was so casual and so fun.
It felt like the boys had been gone for longer than they actually had, and I felt a strange wave of nostalgia as they picked up their instruments and began to play
