William Control "Revelator" Music Video Reviewed

A good indication of whether or not a band is making enough money is looking at their music videos.  I don’t mean the quality of it, I mean the content.  If you need two chicks making out and messing around in your video, chances are, your career isn’t going too well.  William Control released a music video for his song “Revelator” and I am repulsed.

First off, how the heck do you even find someone for the job.  Is it like, “hey you girls, come here and let us film you doing (x)”?  Regardless, I couldn’t even get through the entire video because it was just tasteless.  It was also just really stupid because this pasty white vampire looking guy is trying to act all badass while girls in leather and minimal clothing are making out and he’s playing really mediocre music.
I tried to listen to the song on its own, independent of the video.  Surprisingly, it was even worse.  His voice isn’t strong or noteworthy by any means, and as for the background music, well, to put it bluntly, it sucks.  There’s no real instrumental quality to it and half the time William isn’t even in the same key as the musicians.  It’s embarrassing.
It’s deemed “NSFW” and for good reason, but to be honest, it’s not even worth watching or listening to.  It’s all a massive disappointment and I’m really disappointed in the use of objectifying women just to get people to listen to your awful music.  It’s a low blow, an awful tactic, and absolutely dull and distasteful.
