Volume One was great, I have no problems with it, I am well in the market for more of John Lennon covering chuck berry, in 1994 we got Lennon, as opposed to Harrison, performing “Roll Over Beethoven” and that alone was worth the price of admission

Tomas is a large, imposing figure, he appears gentle but on stage he holds the center of gravity, everything revolves around him and he keeps it balanced as he leads the band through genre after genre. It is intimidating in its strength and righteousness and the buzz surrounfg him and the band is getting louder but hasn’t reached the tipping point yet
Shouldn’t every red blooded American know that early in his career Mr. Terry Bollea, who later morphed into the Hulkster, was once billed as “Sterling Golden” and was a heel? And, I would argue, the whole “good guy/bad guy” issue entirely misses the point when it comes to Elvis Costello.

Okay – Holy Ghost! -People keep ion comparing em to New Order but surely LCD is the influence here. This is a terrific dance track with a whompf sample interrupting the proceedings, like a hook that just misses annoying and gets to catchy – A
you’re going to pay out the wazoo for decent seats to the events you want to see. This will never change unless you’re a member of the bands family- the ‘general public’ will never get the seats they dream of in a large scale event by simply going to Ticket Master and paying face value
Why getting tired, walking all day in a complete dehydrated and starving state, that could you make buy MGMT for Pink Floyd or the Foo Fighters for Nirvana. It’s true, after your 30th something band, there is no way you can make sense of what you see and hear.
Start with the dire “Stick Out Your Tongue” –a bizarre and very very very bad rewrite of “Pills And Soap”. And then move on to “If I Could Believe:, which is “God Give me Strength” with all the melody squeezed out. And then start searching.
