With a name like Engelbert…Let’s face it that easy listening music of days gone by will never leave us.  Hell, Tony Bennett refuses to give up and he’s got some time on ‘the Dink’.  What I find interesting is this whole ‘duets’ concept but at least he isnt dead.  Anyone rember Nat King Cole dead singing with his daughter? THAT was freakin absurd.

But hey we have legend on legend here and perhaps they discussed prostate problems ‘at their age’ but he ya never know in the sicky sweet banter of press blather…

“What an absolute pleasure to meet and record with this giant of a Rock God!,” Humperdinck posted. “A fantastic day with Gene Simmons and his gorgeous wife Shannon.

Although the album isnt out until October the chitter chatter has begun.  Why?  Cuz Engelbert is a fun name and he scored loads of nifty folks to sing along.

“There’s Elton, there’s Smokey Robinson, there’s Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers and Neil Sedaka and it goes on and on and on,” he says. “It is very exciting names on this particular album. I’m so thrilled that everyone has responded and wanted to work on the album with me and I think it has been a very exciting project.”

The 77-year old British pop singer is best known for his number one hits “Release Me” and “The Last Waltz”, as well as “After the Lovin'”.
