Guardian – Alanis Morrisette – It’s been a long long time since Alanis blew us all away with “Hands Clean”, and this, while standard issue good as opposed to painful Alanis (though the chorus gets kinda close to please stop now level), isn’t gonna change the perception. Still, it is nice to heard such devotion from the girl, and it should play well on stage – Grade: B

They probably plan their shows as an aerobic session, watching the six of them who couldn’t stay a second at the same place. It was particular true for frontman Sam Martin (or may be there is no real frontman in this band), who was the most agitated one, jumping around like a jack-in-the-box.

Lil Wayne has released two lousy albums in a row, IV and Rebirth, neither competed with his past work either musically or commercially and how that has anything to do with New York State.
It reminds me of the frustration of having numerous windows open on your computer.. as you shut each down the noise divides. There are skip beats which totally work but in all sincerity I think the one way this could have been improved would to speed it up a bit.

Silverstein was a band that I basically grew up with. I remember having their poster on my wall in seventh grade, and listening to them and Hawthorne Heights in my bedroom, pretending I was at a show. I purposely didn’t listen to any of their more recent stuff because I wanted to hear it live first.
The setlist has remained largely the same since he had his last Top Ten country hit in 1994. Multi-instrumentalist Joe Spivey has played with Anderson for years and his mandolin performance on “An Occasional Eagle” and his frenetic fiddle sawing on “The Orange Blossom Special” were two of the highlights of the evening. Spivey and drummer Tommy Rivelli locked into a viciously wonderful boot stomping groove on “Wild and Blue.”
Every Manhattan Murder Mystery show I have attended has been some epic episode of chaos, with poignant melodies buried in loudness. Another Planet (With Chris Brown) – Jawan Harris – The powers that be were trying to position Jawan as a black Bieber, but he isn’t cute enough and he doesn’t have the songs. Except this songs, a very clever hard heart beat of a track that spooks itself out by the end – Grade: B+

There was no doubt that tunes like ‘Pearls and Swine’ or ‘I’m Gonna Lay Down in Front of My Lord’ from their previous and self-title release, were totally at home at the Grand Ole Echo, with their beautiful country arrangements and gospelish ambiances.

Chapter V – Trey Songz – The tenor r&b sex toy exists to give r. kelly a good name -which can’t be done. Trey, on the other hand, is a slow burner who can’t write a song. Except, Chapter V puts its foot off the metal long enough to sniff your panties, and croon a song – Grade: B-
The new Shinobi Ninja is the best song they’ve put their name to since “Stop”, which it doesn’t resemble in the slightest. The Joe Strummer is a revelation for the way the two songs play off each other. It would have been a middle of the set staple for years to come.
