The scene may be dead but the queens are not and when there is any opportunity to dress up in chaps and stilettos well hell yes I'm in. A Technicolor tour has been announced featuring Blood on The Dancefloor, Davey Suicide and Jeffree Starr. Considering the personalities of 2 of these gentlemen I would predict flying fur and weave at nearly every stop.
The Ego's are as big as the wardrobe and with good reason. These bands produce a sound and a look that fills a nitch in pop culture. Nothing new and not done well but when you follow in the footsteps of Boy and Bowie, you cant help but look a bit..lame.
I had a horrible and memorable encounter with Ms Jayy VonMonroe and forever will despise any project he is in. It takes 1 move to make you forever the bottom feeder ( no pun intended ) and Jayy did just that. Soon he will be gone though as Davy Vanity enjoys changing line ups as often as hair colors so the fun of Blood On The Dancefloor will carry on.
Mr Jeffree Starr is a bit of a parody act but he struts like a pro and is gorgeous in his own way so ok..I have nothing more to say other than.. a couple years ago at Warped I was the one who shoved you when you wouldn't move out of the walkway.
This is sure to be a fun tour for people watching and general dance hall fun. The fans are young the mood is bright and the boys are dazzling.
