Why is Costello opening for Steely Dan on what is a really pretty big tour? What sense does that mean. To be fair, Costello has played a whole lot over the past two years, you can’t throw a brick without seeing him and I personally have seen him something like five times since he opened for the Who at a charity gig a coupla years ago.

Elvis Costello opened for the Who a coupla years ago at a benefit gig, but you’d have to go as far back as the Clash to find an opening act as great as Joanie for these cats. Because, yes indeed folks, Joan Jett is the opening act at the Who’s 50 Anniversary gigs in May 2015.
However, I love both of Lana’s albums and it should be something of real interest Love opening for her. It could be the worst thing ever seen by man, or it could be better than it has any right to be. Either way, Lana and Courtney are touring next year
I will be going to both Jingle Ball and Metlife, I mean of course, since her one chance, the chance I mentioned in 2010, to tour theatre size rooms performing acoustic sets are just about over now, is completed. Indeed, even the Tay I was friends with on Facebook has disappeared. In 2010 she is way too big, that’s all.

My bet is they will be back in 2016 as well and end it all in London around two years from now, Pete and Roger make 50 million a piece and live happily ever after. I also really hope they get Wilko Johnson, if he is still kicking, one of the great disappointments in the Daltry-Johnson tour didn’t make it to New York. The film I saw was superior to the Who last year.
Both of the songs “Desperado” and “California Dreaming” are useless. “California Dreaming”? it isn’t deep harmony why bother and Krall has zero, nothing, nada to add to “Desperado” if you’ve heard Linda Ronstadt’s version. Why is Gaga and Bennett singing “Cheek to Cheek”, by the way
To quote the great man to the great man, I’d see him in anything, I’d stand in line. But even by those standards, four nights at the Beacon Theater? Wow!! Friday November 28th, Saturday, November 29th, Monday, December 1st and Tuesday December 2nd, 2014.
A band with no real purpose in this world but to make 40 year old dads and 11 year old boy fist pump and scream “yeah!’ like primal animals. A band with a gimmick will rarely get any positive response from me mostly because what you sound like is more than what you appear to be
we already almost nearing the end of NEXT SUMMER… well, I guess you’d consider that smart planning ahead of nothing else. The band and management gains interest on the money for 13 months and the fickle tweens who might easily loose interest in the band have a vested interest in still following them. Sounds like an awful awful good idea to me

Squeeze was and will always be one of the most memorable bands of the 80s to this day I adore their work and find myself belting out random lyrics at the oddest times. Granted, this tour is not Squeeze but just the blonde guy but still- he was the pipes so you can be sure he’s throwing in some classics and that alone is reason to attend.
There was an App, Mike Machinest fed me the occasional demo, including a killer track “Rusty Stab”, videos have dropped, concerts have been played and of course, the awesome “Amped To 12” made an appearance in the Wayan Brothers movie “Scary Movie 2”.
Who the hell is Hatsune Miku? No one, its a hologram that sounds like a helium infused twiddle bug. The pitch alone should star a riot but in consideration of Gaga’s fans, this may just work
I do understand that its a job that needs to be done but there is an eerie sort of disrespect in it taking place so soon. Will they install a hologram? I mean they do have that science nerd schtick.
the band with vocalist Mike Vallely hit the road and actually make it all the way to the East Coast and better than that all the way to Western Connecticut where I intend to be there amongst the upstarts to see whats new from these geezers.
