Princeton At The Silverlake Jubilee, Sunday May 27th 2012

Their delicate indie pop was alternating between repetitive and monotonous swirling synths, borderline experimental at time, waken up by electric guitars, but overall their music was the type difficult-to-catch-at-the-first-listening. They played songs form their latest release, and said they would play a song from ‘their old record that bombed’,… was that ‘Cocoon of Love’?

Kinky At The Silverlake Jubilee, Saturday May 26th 2012

The five guys threw about everything in their electronica-techno-rock-en-Espanol, and this is without talking about their exhilarating presence on stage, full of sexy dance moves,… well they have to live up to their moniker! Yeah, these Mexican guys are not really into traditional mariachi, fuck no!

Decoded At AMPLYFI, Thursday May 24th 2012

Their music was a classic example of melodic-heavy-guitar-foot-tapping pop-rock songs, modeled after the masters, as I could hear influences from the Foo Fighters to Weezer. If the music was upbeat, it was also built around a few classic-rock solo guitars, and big sing-along hooks

My Love-Hate Relationship With Beck

Beck’s styles are as diverse as Baskin-Robbins’ flavors and nevertheless all of them are totally his, you cannot miss a Beck song when you hear one, they all have his kid-in-a-candy-store’s magic touch, who can effortless sample, rearrange, and fool around with sounds

Saint Motel At The Hudson Block Party, Sunday May 20th 2012

the same confidence in the vocals and some classic catchy melodies, but still, the new songs sounded a little different with more exotic twists than ever. It is a little difficult to talk about songs you have only heard once live, but there definitively were some Samba-like bouncing rhythms mixed with vocal harmonies

Haim at Hudson Block Party, Sunday May 20th 2012

Their bold attitude, shared-time on vocals, and catchy rocking tunes got the attention of the crowd right away. Wearing Metallica t-shirts, long floating hairs, ripped jeans shorts, and a long black dress for one of them, they were quite active and definitively knew how to occupy the stage, more pleasantly aggressive than trying to look cute, with explosive detours during their songs.

MySpace Is Not Dead? Really?

‘There’s a need for a place where fans can go to interact with their favorite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff and just connect. MySpace has the potential to be that place.’

Not With The Band: Isn't Forgiveness Always A Lie?

First of all why should I forgive Chris Brown? I wasn’t the one whom he assaulted, he didn’t do anything to me (or to Cheryl Cole), I have nothing to forgive him, if there is some forgiveness to occur, it’s between him and Rihanna. But then, abusers, especially physical abusers, are a special species, there are actions which are truly unforgivable.

Despite What You Think, Delta Goodrem Has Never Heard Of Arcade Fire

There is an undeniable similarity indeed, that crescendo with the piano, but her voice is auto-tuned-commercial-style, and for me, her song sounds so much like a bad remix ready for dance clubs, that it is difficult to hear the Arcade Fire song. But the most surprising in this story is that Goodrem had never heard of Arcade Fire… wow, Australia is really the last frontier.

Another Giant Festival by Promoter Goldenvoice For 2013?

Goldenvoice and the city of Irvine have signed a contract that would allow the promoter to stage a multi-day music festival at the Orange County Great Park next year. At the center of Orange county, Irvine is at a convenient 40-mile-distance from downtown LA and they say that the festival could draw more than 150,000 people

Donna Summer Got The Full Rush Limbaugh's Endorsement

Yuck! I would rather change my flight than share some oxygen with that dumbass. Then he continued with formulas like ‘she was one of us’, ‘she was a committed Christian’, ‘She was a right-winger’, and ‘She came to hate the smut on the radio. She was not a fan of rap music at all.’

Saint Motel's '1997' and Tour Information

In anticipation of this full-length album, they are giving away their newest song ‘1997’ for a limited time, and you should definitively take advantage of this opportunity as the explosive epic track is as catchy as many of their previous and other energetic songs

Silver Lake Jubilee Announced Complete Set Times

The future will tell if the street fair will definitively replace another defunct one, the Sunset Junction Fair, without its disastrous financial mistakes, but with a bigger lineup, some higher prices – benefiting the Los Angeles Arts and Athletics Alliance – this year’s festival promises to be a good one.

Jay-Z Endorsing Obama's Statement About Gay Marriage

There was obviously some part of calculation in Obama’s decision to speak in favor of gay marriage, it was a very good thing to do, but it is a little laughable when you remember the president’s less-than-pro-gay-marriage declaration when he met with pastor Rick Warren in 2008:

Coachella 2013 Advance Sale Available This Week!

I was already complaining about some concert tickets I bought recently, as I had to decide right now if I would be available mid August… I don’t know what I will be doing in August! I hate this, I love the immediacy, I love deciding at the last minute what I am gonna do
