The Annotated Monkees Setlist 2012

Hey hey it’s the post Davy Jones Monkees, and what are we gonna get on Sunday at the Beacon? Not enough Davy Jones songs, for one thing, but more than enough from prodigal son Mike Nesmith who ridiculously waited till Davy died before coming to terms with his history.

Conor Oberst Setlist 2012 Annotated!

Even a hardcore Conor Oberst fan such as yours truly found the L.A. setlist from the solo show Alyson covered earlier this year a little obscure, fan unfriendly if you will, and this despite the show ending with the great “June On The West Coast”. Much much better is this setlist from his October 3rd gig in Pomona, Ca

The Madonna Setlist We Want To Hear

With a hard concentration on the OK new album, plus a plethora of deep dance album tracks, only a handful of tracks are what I’d call oh great, wow. I’m particularly surprised at the short shrift given to her last great album, Music.

Must See Concert: Jay-Z At Barclay's Center (Setlist Included)

His “Fade To Black” retirement gig was his last great concert and it has been downhill ever since, especially the 9-11 charity gig with the ridiculous “I see You” segment . And while I appreciate everybody else raving about the “Watch The Throne” concert, it was tied to a lousy album. and I felt like a bitter old man for being so bored by huge chunks. Plus “Otis” is his worst song ever.

Stone Roses Open Tour After 20 Years (Setlist Included)

Tix have been changing hands for thousands of pounds back in the UK and now I come to think of it: somebody asked me if there was any band around I hadn’t seen that wanted to and I said, no, I’ve seen em all. But that isn’t true. i’ve never seen the Stone Roses and admire them tremendously.

Beyonce's Atlantic City Setlist 2012

I can’t wait to catch her in an Arena. I wonder if this is the first shot across the brow before a full scale tour? And I wonder what she will do with the kid? Now Jigga has retired maybe he will househusband… awww, who is kidding who?

The Beach Boys 50th Anniversary Setlist 2012

It is supposed to be a career retrospective but it doesn’t get too obscure. Nothing from The Beach Boys Love You. . Only “Disney Girls” from Surf’s Up. And entire albums without a hint… maybe not their best albums but still, if they are gonna suck on “Kokomo” why no “Wild Honey”?

Bruuuucccceeeeee At Prudential Last Wednesday

Bruce pulled out a card from the audience which had written on it “Play One For Levon” and proceeded to cover “The Weight”. Pretty awesome, plus both “No Surrender ” and “Rosalita”. But stil, way too much from Wrecking Ball. And anway, they didn’t get “Johnny 99” -easily the best song at MSG. And I can’t see anything on this setlist good enough to replace it. Not even personal fave “Bishop Dance”.

Bruce Springsteen And the E Street Band Concert Setlist 2012

Bruce believes in his new album. If he thought it was a dog he wouldn’t play that much of it. Which answers the question as to whether Rolling Stone were lying. I think he has overdone “Ball” here but maybe he will shake it up later on. And I can’t believe he is opening with “We Take Care Of Our Own” -though I may be in the minority, I think time will prove me right.

Jay-Z's Setlist, Carnegie Hall, February 6th!

Lessee, oooh look, “Roc Boys” -I love that song. and look at that double dose before the last song of the night, “Jigga What” and “Big Pimpin”… Not to cause trouble or anything, ain’t this an awful lot like his MTV Unplugged gig? Anyway, as Jay-Z continues to cement himself into the mainstream pop experience may I add a loud nolle prosequai, na poo, not me, no Sir, sod him?

Red Hot Chili Peppers Setlist For 2012

So, I took a look at the setlists they’ve been playing and the first thing I notice is, along with “Under The bridge” and “Scar Tissue” is… NO “This Is The Place”!!! Hey, no “Brendan’s Death Song” either. Actually, not that much from the newbie.
