Must See Concert (Plus Setlist): Al Green At The Beacon Theater

I've seen the reverand Al Green precisely two times. Once, I snagged a front row seat at Avery Fisher Hall. The other time, mid-orchestra at Beacon Theater. Both times were superb but it has been ten years.

Helen Bach watched rev. Green preach once  in Memphis. here is her review: "My friend chipped her tooth". Yup, that's all she's got.

SO…

I snagged a tix for his show at the Beaon theater  Wednesday, August 22nd.

Excited, so excited,  Debatably the greatest soul singer of the 1970s, a deacde where Marvin and Curtis were peaking, and Jame browns was priming, he is quite as good today…

Here is a setlist from Rev. Al's performance in Sydney, Australia, back in 2010.
