EMI Has A Problem With Kim Davis And Mike Huckabee’s Use Of ‘Eye Of The Tiger’

‘Many times, a record company will look the other way in a situation like this, as it serves as free publicity for their intellectual property,’ added Steiner. ‘Though, in this case, I believe that EMI does not want their song associated with someone like Kim Davis, or Mike Huckabee for that matter, and will most likely seek full damages for this incident.’

Miguel Performs In Families Living Room For Great Cause (See It Here)

“Make Room” is a non-profit organization that helps poor people pay their rent and with the current homeless problem in New York, it is even more worthwhile if anything. If the City or State really wanted to help the homeless, they’d give money directly to landlords to supplement rent for poor families. Just because you don’t see children on the street doesn’t mean there aren’t children on the street, they are just hidden from view.

Madonna’s Most Important Tour Ever Starts Wednesday

I’ve read good things about this tour, if she plays it straight, plays the hits plus choice cuts off rebel heart, if she gets on stage at 9pm and performs 120 minutes of great dance pop, word of mouth will instantaneously sell out the tour. But if she gives us more of MDMA, art pop self flagellation and audience hatred, forget it

People think it is the end of warm weather and while that is certainly a part of the summer season, more important is children being away from school for two months . Look at two months this way: it is something like 0.25% of my life and 2% of a ten year olds. Translation, summer last forever for children but is a blip on ours and since many of us (me) are working stiffs, we more observe than participate in summer. But we observe well.

For The Love of Crowd Surfing

Crowd surfing has become so common these days, at least where I live, in Los Angeles, people do it all the time, even when the music is not punk, they do it at any occasion as it seems to be part of the Southern California culture, a way for kids to express themselves, to have fun while taking some risks

Watch This Seriously Simple Eagles of Death Metal’s Video For ‘Complexity’

Wait, they had already this audio version on Youtube showing them in a Star Trek fantasy, but this time Homme and Jesse Hughes, aka Boots Electric, are playing their SNL’s version of Sprockets with black turtlenecks and intellectual glasses, which suit Homme very well I must say. Of course the joke is that this weird Krautrock-y German parody totally clashes with the music, a not-so-complex rocker that would require much more hip action.

Is this the year New York returns to grace after only the Rangers did any dame last year? It could be both the Mets and the Yanks get past the first round of the playoffs, maybe, just maybe we will be shocked by the Jets and the Giants, and finally I predict the Knicks have to improve over last year, But forget all that, the New York Liberty are in the playoffs!!! Isiah Thomas, possibly the most hated man in MSG history not named Dolan, baffles New York yet again.

Still No News Of Frank Ocean Since His FYF Cancelation?

People were disappointed he wasn’t performing at the FYF fest, now they are turning angry with tweets like, ‘Remember when we thought frank ocean was gonna put out another album?’… ‘The greatest trick frank ocean ever pulled was convincing the world he exists’,… Ouch! But well deserved in a way.

In sports, like rock and roll and unlike the blues, it gets late early, and so off goes Rafael Nadal who seemed like a man who could never lose at the US Open home early “3-6, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 by 32nd-seeded Fabio Fognini of Italy in the third round of the U.S. Open on Friday night”. It just happens and happens and it is one of the things about watching sports because unlike rock and roll, when you can’t do it any more you get fired.

Taylor Swift’s African-Dream White Cliché

Taylor Swift released this mini movie/big production for ‘Wildest Dreams’ on Sunday, and it looks like a Karen Blixen remix with her song for soundtrack. Nothing in the song suggests Africa, but this is nevertheless where the video was shot, because Taylor probably thought she would look good in colonial outfit or Scheherazade veils in front of lions and exotic animals.

Sure, I hate Tom Brady. Maybe I wouldn’t if he wasn’t the best QB in the business, and a smug dick to boot, but he is and he is and all he does his win. Last year, for instance. But when you’re a winner there is no need to be a cheater and doesn’t anybody believe for an instant the Patriots didn’t spy on other teams and steal their signals? And does anydody in the world believe Tom “Nobody touches my balls” Brady? Well, actually Judge Richard M. Berman just ruled that the NFL and bumbling dullard Roger Goodell had zero proof Brady had anything to do with the Deflategate and rescinded his four game suspension.

Brittany Howard Shakes Her Alabama Off To Release Thunderbitch’s Debut Album

The very well-named Thunderbitch, which consists of Alabama Shakes’ frontwoman but also members of Nashville acts Fly Golden Eagle and Clear Plastic Masks, has a rawer and more aggressive sound than Howard’s work with Alabama Shakes,… although it is not really far away. I am currently streaming the album on the band’s website, and it’s a blast! A true rock & roll wonder, showcasing Howard’s fantastic powerhouse-thunderstorm vocals, which have never sounded so great… and could I mention Bowie again?

The Best Band Of All Time: The Beatles

While we don’t know how the world will to react to the Beatles 100 or 300 years from now, it is a fair bet the perception of their entire oeuvre will change from pop to classical. Like the greatest of the greatest classical composers, like Beethoven, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky, and maybe Schubert, they will be performed in recital, analyzed, discussed and studied.

Nobody believes that Ben Carson, the neurosurgeon Republican running for President has much in the nature of a chance of getting the GOP nomination, so consider this his reward for dissing Obama to his face at the National Prayer Breakfast over 30 months ago. Currently in a dead heat with Trump in Iowa, he doesn’t have a prayer.

Drake Appears In Lil Wayne’s Festival And Starts A Tidal-Apple Music War

‘The decision to not have Drake participate in the Tidal stream has nothing to do with Apple or Drake’s deal, said Drake’s manager Future the Prince to BuzzFeed. ‘Point blank, 100 percent. I made a business decision. Apple doesn’t have the power to stop us from being part of a live stream. The only people that have the power to do that are Cash Money and Universal, and they’re our partners.’

Or “The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat”, stories of neurological disorders so strange and devastating, it made an atheist out of Sacks and for good reason: if your entirely personality can change due to a blow on the head, what exactly is your personality?

At the outset, I had no idea how this project would evolve, but I was delighted that everybody I reached out to accepted my invitation.’

Is This The Best Week For New Releases Of 2015

We know Yo La Tengo, Foals and The Weeknd are at the top of the class, all three of which are improving the more I listen, but the real shocker is how much better the second ring of releases are: Motorhead, Liam Corcoran, Willis Earl Beal, and the ridiculously excellent Monk Parker, are all good enough to be albums of the week. Every single one will make my best of 2015.
