Sports: So after twelve seasons of ups and downs (but, two ups as big as you can get), Tom Coughlin resigns as Head Coach of the New York Giants after failing to make the playoffs for a fourth year. Perhaps if they gave him a defense he could use?

The Middle East: The King and the Crown Prince have a $100B deficit for 2015, oil prices ravished, so they will have to cut back on the ultimate nanny state (er, country), and so what to do? Fomenting intercede anger? Check.

Recorded: On a steady diet of James Brown and currently just reached his second album which concludes the King Records years with another. The revelation here is that his vocals were great even then but his arrangements weren’t where he was going to -or at least where he reached.

Live: I am going to see The Weeklings open for Willie Nile on Wednesday, January 13th… the first day of the rest of my concert going life it looks like.

Weather: Man, this is pretty brutal out here. It hasn’t been this cold in maybe nine months.

Theatre: Ten dollar “Hamilton” tickets (get it)  are now on line, except they aren’t because the website crashed.

Television: I caught the first episode of Amazon Prime’s over done adaption of Phillip K. Dick’s superb speculative fiction “The Man In The High castle” and I was not remotely thrilled. But I am about to get back into it… let’s hope they’ve found a decent reason to expand what would have made a great 105 minute movie. The problem isn’t speculative fiction as such but that it also happens in the mid-1960s. Oh, and way too much padding.
