Boys Like Girls is a dumb name for a band and Im not a huge fan, but they dont suck and they have enough generic ‘pop punk’ to them to entertain me for 45 min or so before I crack. All American Rejects were wonderful but then they disappeared and came back more bubblegum then hip

I Miss You – Beyonce – This song, written by Frank Ocean didn’t introduce him to the world entire, just the world entire that mattered. me? I don’t consider it nearly as good as “!+” for instance, but I understand why you do. Thursday night a woman was running out of T5 when Ocean began performing this for the encore. It is that kind of song (and that kind of songwriter). You either get it or you don’t – Grade: B+

I attended last year and this years line up is tougher and stronger than ever. I am stoked to see legends like Slayer and Motorhead, these are the geezers of metal and well, it should be interesting to see them at the least. No real metal or hardcore fan can pass by these patriarchs of devil horns.

The problem with ‘hard rock’ or metal bands is that their grit is lost in the daylight. At 12 noon a band is much less menacing than at 9pm A problem with ‘fests’ in general, I mean everyone needs a slot but Lost Prophets are a night band. They followed Hawaii boys The Green and it was the most awkward transition I have seen in awhile.
The crowd was the biggest of any other at Warped that day,and I was forced to carry my camera above my head to get to the area to shoot them. It took me the entire song to squeeze my way through the crowd. Once I got to the front, they went right into “Error: Operator”.

The crowd was huge for their set, and it was dense and full of real fans. The mosh pit was really crazy- it was the most intense pit that wasn’t for a metal band. The kids got so into the set and yelled the lyrics right back at the band, which is always uplifting and cool to watch
Heavy handed on the technology I Fight Dragons got dubbed ‘ninetendocore’ on their Wikipedia. Who’s the cheeseball that did that. Granted they use gamboy controllers as instruments and yeah their work has been used by video games but can we pause a bit here to really appreciate them as musicians?

This is, in effect, the follow up to “Runaway”, and it is terrible. From sentiment to sound, this is one of the hip hop songs West has ever put his name to. Generic beats, iffy sample. you’ve heard it before you’ve listened to it spund. Good Music doing smart ass business as usual. And as for refrain? “Come and have a good time with G.O.D.” . Plus a shout out to Whitney Houston, which, maybe, they should have thought better of. Good music? Yeah, right. Grade: C-
