Falling In Reverse Warped Tour Hartford CT Sunday July 22, 2012

At the Vans Warped Tour, the crowd was growing and it was right after Taking Back Sunday’s set.  As the buzzing energy was growing, the anticipation was almost out of control. Falling In Reverse was about to come on, and a few hundred girls wearing “Mrs. Radke” and “Radke For President” shirts were pressed up against the barricade, ready for their idol to prance on stage.

Ronnie Radke stepped onstage clad in leopard print skinny jeans and a jean jacket with the band’s logo on the back, eyes covered with sunglasses. They opened up with the tune “I’m Not A Vampire”, which was powerful and driving.  I love that song, and the audience’s reaction was electric.  Ronnie’s voice rang loud and clear with the first line: “I’m not a vampire, but I feel like one.  Sometimes I sleep all day because I hate the sun.”  Standing in front of the crowd, their singing was almost louder than that coming from the stage.  It was outrageous.

There was actually a moshpit for the band, along with crowd surfers. As things escalated, Radke did a flip on stage and lost the sunglasses, revealing the teardrop tattoo and his sick, bloodshot eyes.  Regardless of not feeling well, he still gave it his all and went into “Raised By Wolves”, an incredibly impressive tune recorded that’s even better live.  The drums meshed flawlessly with the guitars and bass, creating a captivating sound that engaged everyone.  Radke’s voice was simply icing on the cake, and it was obvious that the whole crowd were huge fans.

The band was so animated and intense, making them so fun to watch.  They were phenomenal, and I can’t wait for Falling In Reverse to come back to Connecticut.
