Elvis Costello opened for the Who a coupla years ago at a benefit gig, but you’d have to go as far back as the Clash to find an opening act as great as Joanie for these cats. Because, yes indeed folks, Joan Jett is the opening act at the Who’s 50 Anniversary gigs in May 2015.
In an effort to keep their profit up the lingerie lines was designed in hopes that rock and roll sexiness would be their niche’ unfortunately their current client base is about 12, so … yeah… that’s awkward.
But like Jett spit out on “Smells Like Teen Spirit” rock is a denial and the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is all about an admittance. It really is a squalid rabid horrible dingy thing. It really adds up to something that is nothing.

Unvarnished – Joan Jett And The Blackhearts – Sure this is Joanie 101 but it is also older Joanie 101, whether worrying about aging on “Fragile” or slashing and burning “Reality Mentality”, she is still writing strong glam riffs with shout outs, and sing-alongs. No, it isn’t Album, but it is still damn good – ALBUM OF THE WEEK – B+
Not A Bad Thing – Justin Timberlake – The penultimate song of the entire 1 becomes 2 wedding double album is this equal to “Mirrors” in enterprise and superior in melody masterpiece – A

As I write, I am planning to check out Yuck as part of the CMJ fest after loving their debut album and once you get past that there is Joan Jett with (hopefully) more of the same
