Finally, 2015 hits the charts and while I am not crazy about #1, I am crazy about # 2, FOB’s best album ever and if it did this well in the UK, I wonder if it can take over from Meghan in the US? No, I don’t really like the new Belle & Sebastian but I approve of them as a concept.

Irresistible – Fall Out Boy – These guys are on a mission from god to find every possible hook they can and stick it into every crevice in a song. They do it here and it is a lot less than irresistible, risible more like – C
I’ve seen Fall Out Boy a number of times live and listened to everything because that’s what I do not because I like them… till now. “Uma Thurman”, with its hysterical “The Munsters” quote (Thurman slash Herman Munster is my bet) and it is one of the most fun songs of the year, that’s all. In honor of their achievement, rock nyc awards them with Best Guest Of The Week.
Now don’t get me wrong there are nostalgia tours, and I have even found myself busting out ‘From Under The Cork Tree’ now and then but I cant exactly imaging camping out to see them any longer. Their five minutes are up but with families and bills to pay its time to make more music launch tours and get cracking.
Fall Out Boy is on Ellen. That’s the oddest thing to me. Pop punk old men are sitting on her couch. Im not sure why I find this so striking, they’re not exactly ‘Alternative’ but for some reason I still consider them lesser known.. I have a mental block with them.

New – Paul McCartney – His best album since Run Devil Run is also his oldest sounding to date, he almost croaks “Early Days”, and with a new generation of modern producers behind him, it sounds pretty good as well – A
It’s a minute and twenty five seconds of pure energy, and I really hope they continue in this direction. The band is entirely unpredictable, and this step forward is something I believe will be an element in “Pax-Am Days”. It feels so natural for them and you can just tell that they’ve settled into a comfort zone
This album was recorded in just two days. The band is out of control and pumping out new things like a machine. And it’s not crap, either. November 29th, “Pax-Am Days” will come out as a digital release. October 15th, it’ll be a physical release bundled with “Save Rock and Roll”- FOB’s first double album
As the song is blasting through my speakers, I can tell you this is not a joke, this is a furious tune with a hardcore spirit – more in the vocals than in the music – and a fast rock n’ roll pit-moshing number. It’s short and fast like a bullet (or a Black Flag song), with several aggressive punches in the stomach and some fun madness
