– Irresistible – Fall Out Boy  – These guys are on a mission from god to find every possible hook they can and stick it into every crevice in a song. They do it here and it is a lot less than irresistible, risible more like – C

– Dust And Bones – Night Terrors Of 1927 – Catchy? Sure, but not very – C+

– Blue Sky Action – Above And beyond – The problem here isn’t the blue sky, it is the action – B-

– No Cities to Love – Sleater Kinney – Their best song since “Dig Me Out” is a hootenanny  and a call to living happily ever after – A

– The Singer Addresses His Audience – The Decemberists – At first I thought Colin said undresses his audience. Kinda fires the imagination, right? Depends where the band is playing of course – B-

– Myopia –Enter Shakira – Aren’t these guys sounding a little old for this stuff? They been around over ten years and I dunno, this is a little on the wearying side – C

– Melt me – Hanni El Khatib – Nice look blues garage howler, but then again what isn’t? – B+

– Gold Teeth – Hey Rosetta! – Tasteful, nice hook, a little bland (tasteful and bland: neat trick) – B

– Killing Strangers – Marilyn Manson –  Always that pause between lines and screams – B

– Newspaper Spoons – Spooky, like Marilyn with bigger beats and better singing – B+
