Rappers are still going strong even those I haven’t heard anything from for a long time, like Diddy ($60 million and $1.90 per second)! Beside this you have Calvin Harris ($66 million and $2.09 per second), Jay Z ($60 million and $1.90 per second), and Drake ($33 million and $1.05 per second)
this guy has recorded with about everybody in the music business, from The Rolling Stones to the Who, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, the Eagles, The Beatles, the Kinks, the Clash,… basically there is a great chance that the classic song stuck in your head right now, was recorded by Glyn.
If you haven’t quoted ‘Hotel California” or ” The Long Run” you’re not being honest. These songs are simply woven into the tapestry of life and now once again you can see them performed live.
The Forum in Los Angeles is truly an historic sports venue, home to the Lakers back in their multi-championship years. It also hosted innumerable concerts, though frankly it wasn’t a very good place to see a show. “I absolutely hate them. I hate their somnambulistic country/rock hybrid, which is neither country nor rock. I hate their combination of well-crafted, uninspired studio “perfectionism” and the insufferable conceit of ego monsters Henley and Frey”
This is a perfect song, it starts with the chorus, and those waah waah waahs, and then Bowie plays between his falsetto and baritone, and he throws in handclaps and drum machines and back up singers. And the lyric is as brilliant and overwhelmingly baroque and also dramatic lyric, plus a rap: “one of these days and it won’t be long… ” that bit off an album so great he reached a zenith of artistry and paranoia never to be touched again.
Packing 20,000 middle-aged white people (the Eagles spent the evening discussing their history from the stage and on pre-taped segments. They performed almost thirty songs in a show that lasted over three hours. I wasn’t sure if I was watching a concert or serving a sentence.
Pop’s Love Suicide – Stone Temple Pikots – If it was easy to write glam grunge pop masterpieces like this, why has nobody, definitely including STP, been able to replicate it – A
