“People would always ask, “Hey play that song about the wishing well or whatever it’s called!”… I vaguely recall my wonderful aunt mentioning that we finally had written a song she liked. So if you’re in the market for a family-friendly Screaming Females song, this is your chance”

Modern Hut's "Moving On" On The Chris Gethart Show (Watch the Video Here)

By Iman Lababedi | June 19, 2014

The pace is slow, and weary, but the beat is much larger than we are used to, and while Joe has a sort of blank weird charm to him, the band look as though they’ve just arrived from 1978 –a mix of the Knack and Roxy Music. Screaming Females To Release Live Album Recorded By Steve Albini

By Iman Lababedi | March 9, 2014

Each band committed itself to a unique set of ideas, and it didn’t matter what other bands were doing or what the audience might expect. Screaming Females are that same kind of wide-open punk rock, from before it condensed into a style and every band had to be taken on its own terms
