Live: Three songs? That’s it? I sat through knocking on five hours of Jann Wenner’s pomp and circumstance and for what? To see Cat Stevens perform three songs? Enough already Yusef, get off your ass and play the Beacon Theater. Meanwhile., I ended up on Stubhub for Lily Allen’s May 15th gig at Highline Ballroom

Recorded – Another terrible week for for record albums, I’ll hand it to Carlene Carter by default but really, I’ve listened to  20 new releases and nothing will last past the week.  Maybe Screaming Females but that’s it.

Sports – UConnUconn won the NCAA while the stink of “ringers” runs through College Sports. Meanwhile, the Knicks aren’t gonna make the playoffs.

Weather: Unbelievably enough, Spring appears to have sprung.

National: 7.2 Million sign up for Obamacare. Or as I know and love it, the audience for an average episode of “The Voice”.

Personal: I wrote up the liner notes to the reissue of Buy The Contortions.
