Alunageorge Coming To Bowery Ballroom
The excitement surrounding Alunageorge is tangible and there is nothing much more thrilling than a band on the verge of breaking the UK

If this is where you’re at, if modern metally rock is happening? These are the guys to see!
“(the songs) come across as love songs, or lustful confessions have much more to do with my feelings towards America”
compared to Jeff The Brotherhood or the Black Keys (or the Indigo Girls for that matter) very sexy but compared to Rihanna or Icona Pop, garden variety
Megan Pugh’s four songs on Soundcloud are all excellent and ” Last Cigarette” is more than that, some people can write songs, Megan Pugh is one of those people
At this point it is a little difficult to tell the difference so look at it this way: Janoskians are to the wanted what 5 seconds To Summer are to One Direction
“The Julie Ruin” named after her first solo album and a new album dropping September 3rd (James Murphy remixes one track so I guess dance is in their future and a new single “Oh Come On” (see below) which I for one really like.
“Rockin’ In The Free World” will be covered so I guess all is forgiven with Young, eh?
ike 1D they come across as fun guys, not too heavy, and ready for the girls of the worlds acclaim. Unlike 1D they write their own material. PS: Luke Hemmings is 16 years old.
Surfing the net in search of something to write about, I read this on Twitter, coming from the Los Angeles punk band FIDLAR:
Riffs appears to be where it’s at, at least at this stage, for Deaf FM. The hard dark riffs of “Hate Me”, according to the band, is more their style than the gorgeous progressions of the acoustic set I am also including here. My bet is that there is a place where the two will meet up
The EP isn’t gonna be released till June 1st but all four songs are just wonderful. It is kinda hard to pick a fave. It is all handclaps and back up harmonies and sweet melodies and a retro vibe so completely retro it is wild. It is like those 1950s diners. It is like songs on the American Graffiti double album soundtrack
If this is the state of New York rock in 2013, it is pretty weak gruel. Really? DIIV? I mean, honestly, that’s what you wanna tell me. Sky? She looks like a poster child for methadone clinics. Still, who am I to argue with Hardeep Phull, right? I don’t disagree with Phul the way I did with Aquilante, and I disagree in different ways, but still, his tastes and I don’t coincide very often. PS: I hadn’t heard Angel Haze but I will now.
She struts, she sticks out her chin, she wails, it’s like she jumped 30 years from the Blackhearts to Spanking Charlene and now we are getting another woman ready to go ballistic on us. It is all mini skirt and heels and pithy putdowns
