She read some reviews and listened to her fans…. and she heard them. After releasing her new single ‘Go’ and a video to go with it, the reaction was not positive at all. The tune sounded too much like this Rihanna radio-friendly mainstream R&B to be even remotely interesting – not very surprising as the song was originally written for Rihanna.
I am not a big fan of EDM music – this is the least I can say – and although Grimes is easy on the eyes, this boring rhythms and mellow pseudo-R&B melody, which could have easily been sung by any sexy hot number of the moment, do not excite me at all
She doesn’t want drugs to be part of her narrative, although this interview exists, it took me 2 seconds to find it. She really said this, and it was only 2 years ago. She simply could have said she regretted saying this, it’s okay to say ‘I was wrong to glorify drugs’, ‘I was wrong to do this to sell my album and become famous’, but it’s not okay to say people are assholes because they are just reposting her own words.
