“To The Last “sounds like pop by a soulful robot with a vocoder distorting the sounds, “Klavierwerk” is hyperventilating ambience and the strobes make you worry you’re gonna have a seizure any moment. It is lively and enliving music but it is a bore to watch.
I drifted in and out but my the 45 minute mark the sound was making me exceedingly anxious. Still by the end of the set I was won over, and right now, with the music streaming even as I write, I am impressed with the singular beauty of it all. But I don’t ever want to watch it again.
Now that they are on the top of the ticket stub, though, they have found a balance between all the genres they are capable of. From house to dubstep, and from jam to hip-hop, they are truly, for me, the most randomly perfect act in EDM right now.
The show Araabmuzik put on was really amazing and the sound systen was so loud you could feel the beats moving thu you. He put on one of his best shows for New Year’s Eve.
