Comment: Many good reasons do have your doubts about Tweedy, first and foremost is Jeff himself, but on first listen it is surprisingly good, and though way too long at 71 minutes, it is certainly as good as it possibly can be. the Drums have widened their palette of sounds, damn them, Alt J, every song I’ve heard off the album has been killer, Perfume Genius newbie is gorgeous, Julian Casablancas will screw with your mind, John Mellencamp hasn’t been around for a long time and Jennifer Hudson is a true soul singer. It is a toss up between Leonard Cohen and Aphex Twin, and I am gonna go with Aphex Twin because I am not anticipating Cohen, I’ve listened to it non stop all week.
