Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Announce Line Up

Can we do something about that Fest name?  Rockstar Energy Drink?  Really? I mean I understand that its sponsored by the chemical giant but really cant you find a way to subtle it down?  When the brand name is greater than the fest name it looks ridiculous.  Rockstar Energy is more famous for this event then their product.  Monster and Red Bull pretty much owning the market of caffeinated swill. But alas, there is revenue here so lets carry on.

Festivals are getting a smidgen stale.  Not so much the support acts but the headliners.  Its a swapping of placement that seems to be the trend and even in the case of Warped Tour- it’s recycling at it’s best.  This years Mayhem does just that by placing Avenged Sevenfold as the headliner with back up Korn.  Can we pause to think about these two legendary bands…Korn last album?  Paradigm Shift 2013, Avenged Sevenfold  Hail To The King 2013…are they still plugging these?

But no worries this just makes it easier to enjoy the show and cut out early.  After a long hot sweaty day of crowd surfing and wall of death-ing, a nice early turn in will do you good.  But dont skip this one, the support is great! Emmure, Miss May I,  Asking Alexandria, Trivium, Cannibal Corpse, Suicide Silence, Body Count, Mushroomhead, Veil of Maya, Upon a Burning Body, Texas Hippie Coalition, Darkest Hour, Ill Nino, Wretched, Islander, King 810 + Erimha.
