Good Ol Peter Framptons! Remember his long curly locks and whammy bar? Did you feel like he do? I swear the album ‘Frampton Comes Alive was so overplayed I can cheer along with the audience in the exact right parts. It is actually one of the reasons I dislike live albums, too much of a great audience makes for annoying familiarity.
But hey that was hundreds of decades ago and not only are those curly locks gone but so is the rock God persona. Frampton is actually a pretty cool guy, from the interviews I have seen of his. I mean he theoretically could be an absolute ass but he puts up a good and congenial front.
He is back..older balder and more light heatedly and you can expect new material very soon. But wait, dig this inspiration. This is not a classic rock cliche, its.. inspired by ballet.
Writing for dance was a wonderfully freeing experience,” Frampton said in a press release, “There were no boundaries. We were able to push the composing envelope.” This project has been in the works since 2012.
‘Hummingbird in a Box’ features seven songs written by Frampton and produced by Gordon Kennedy who collaborated on the “Fingerprints” album. Optimistic? Me too!
Dates are with The Doobie Brothers at some of the oddest towns. Hey man, where is NYC?!
