Sure, Beyonce will have her problems with Metlife. Hell, Timberlake had his problems with Metlife just last year, and I have remained less than convinced by Beyonce in theatres, let alone Arenas. But this is perfect for Jay Z who is one of those rare artists (both Springsteen, Jagger and Bono are the same way –McCartney is the same whatever the size of the room) who ups his game the more people there are.
Last year, Jay Z blew Timberlake away at Metlife, this year he will be gentler to his wife but still out for revenge after Beyonce bested Magna Cart… Holy Grail. So everybody and I mean everybody should bring their “a” game and then Hov will holla at em.
I bought the cheapest tix I could and still $72 for the 300s. Top ticket was $2,000, section 3 front row but even so… what if it rains? I will be in a different area code but hey at least I got one and look at the date? Friday, July 11 th… How awesome is that, right? XOlent as we say in the Beehive. And speaking of which have you heard John Mayer’s brilliant cover of Bey? Now that could be the song of the year not “Problems”. And speaking of “Problems” –didja know Dr. Max refused to work with Ariana until his daughter, who is never impressed over all the Taylor Swifts and katy Perrys he works with, flipped out to hear he might work with Grande.
Who completely sucked at Jingle Ball last year.
But I digress.
So any way, I got a tix on Tuesday through the Chase presale. One of many many many: VIP, Beyonce.com, Chase.com, Facebook, METLIFE Behind The lines, I bet I’ve missed a few as well. The beyonce.com totally sucked but the Chase was OK.
See you there!
