Beatles and Motley Crue ,‘A Hard Girls Night’ Reviewed

Hard Days
Hard Days

I adore a decent ‘mash up’.  There are some that are just plain awful, often sounding like having two computer windows open playing different tunes.  It confuses the brain if not blended properly.

Take this ditty from Wax Works.  Motley Crue and The Beatles, I mean seriously who would even consider such silliness.  Well it actually works (for the most part).  There are times when its a very choppy transition but luckily they use increased volume in the vocals to distract.

The revving motorcycle clouds the intro and should have been cut but as for the rest- its good clean fun.  The accompanying video is just as interesting.  Seeing the live performances of these guys basically show the extreme contrast in ‘now and then’  stage  shows and fan behavior.  It’s hard to imagine girls just sat in their seats and screamed seeing the Beatles and rip off their clothes and throw themselves on the stage for Crue.  Society has certainly changed it’s decorum.  Come to think of it… where are the male Beatles fans anyway?  You never see them in the footage.  At least Crue has devil horn making male fans with mullets.

The song is also available as an MP3 download via Soundcloud. Some of Wax Audio’s recent mashups include ‘Stayin’ in Black,’ combining the Bee Gees with AC/DC; and ‘Chemical Driver,’ featuring Dio and the Chemical Brothers, among others
