Florence Welch has a big voice and a great attitude, arms open wide she lets everybody in with a dreamy, exciting, banging attitude and a full band and a full voice. “There’s a big sign here that says “STEPS” she told us, to remind Florence, who broke her foot earlier this year at Coachella, not to jump. She jumped any way.
But I find her a little irritating live and this is the second time her good vibes brought me down. Not helped by a drunken mess of a girl who hassled me before I ran away giving up my prime real estate, she hit the heights with an early “Shake It Off” and a mid gig “How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful”, stopping only to bring a fan with a sign reading “Can I Have A Hug?” up on stage, it was what you will get when you go to see Florence Welch: neo-new wave and operatic.
