Bret Michaels, not dead and lending a hand

Bret Michaels is not a bad guy, in fact he seems to be a pretty good guy.  The problem is hes somewhat annoying and he keeps ‘near deathing’ and truth be told it becomes a bore if not a total ‘boy who cries wolf’ scenario.

For a guy with a minimal musical career he sure is able to keep his name in the news. This time though its not for some dumbass reality show but rather for a do-gooder photo opp.  The small town of Pilger Nebraska got slammed with a pretty heavy duty tornado.  The village has a population of just over 350 so the impact is tremendous.

Upon seeing the devestation Michaels apparently picked up a sledgehammer to join the clean up- or he was advised to do so by a smart PR guy.

“I just got that lump,” Michaels said, his hand on his throat, as he looked at the rubble. “Thinking about the children in this town, it takes your breath away.”

“It’s one thing to see it on TV. But when you actually get out here, it’s completely different. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life,” Michaels said.

Betty Maly was one of the Pilger residents who reaped the benefits of Bret’s hard work.

“It’s wonderful. You can’t thank them enough. People take time out of their days off or use their spare time to come here. It’s just unreal,” Maly said.

Let’s not get crazy Betty- he made sure there was a camera to document the effort.

All the best for full recovery to the town and its residents.
