Remember when Brit was a hot mess kicking peoples ass with an umbrella and shaving off all her hair? She brought Southern trailer park to a whole new level when she quite simply flipped out and did so very publicly.
I am empathetic- its a hard knock life in the public eye and honestly I blame her handlers for not locking her in a basement until the crazy escaped from her pores. Instead we were privy to a very public breakdown. She seemed to regain sanity though taking on a nice residency in Las Vegas and happily performing in one place to sold out crowds. Best to keep the unstable grounded it simply takes a smidgen of pressure off.
So it’s a dang good thing Britney was offered an extension on the Caesars residentcey.
Gary Selesner, president of the Caesars Palace resort, which owns Planet Hollywood’s Vegas venue, tells the New York Daily News, “Britney Spears has been a great success for the company and will be extended, if she wants to do it, and I cannot see why not.
“She has been filling out the place every night, and she is enjoying it and is in good health. She has a good life, coming in on private jet.
“She has a villa upstairs at Caesars and really enjoys it here – so why wouldn’t she stay?”
Well I presume she will want more money more perks more lots of things but honestly it is a great way for her to do the only job she knows in a closed environment. Her fan base aging, they will inevitably end up visiting Vegas anyway and she’ll be waiting for them.
There is no word if she accepted the offer- her gig is scheduled to end in 2015. Let’s hope she stays. If she opts out I suggest TMZ fire up their Brit-mobiles and get ready for the stalk.
