Uh oh, another bomb for Kings Of Leon, Mechanical Bull was a major disaster, and it wasn’t that bad a song but it wasn’t that good either. They kinda sucked live at MSG, were better at Central Park when they only had to perform for an hour.
The net result is Kings Of Leon have stopped selling out arenas in the middle of an arena tour and have to fill up the bodies somehow and here come Groupon to fill in the seats, or rather stands. $25 for a tix to Kings Of Leon? You can’t see the Both at Bowery Ballroom for that. Hell, you can barely get into a 3D movie for it. But thus have the mighty fallen.
While I kinda feel bad for the band, the other half of the equation is that KoL are such dicks they kinda have it coming. Anyway for four more days get tickets heavily discounted to their Bethel Woods gig as they put the group into Groupon. To add insult to injury, they’ve only sold 30 tickets last time I looked.
