– Governors Ball – Conor Oberst – After calling its audience bricks in the wall watching black kewpie dolls, Conor takes the money and runs tonight where he spends his day on Randalls Island and evening in Brooklyn. Hypocrisy? Sure, but money talks. The real problem here is the song -which is not very good despite the bass blasts – C
– New Dorp. New York –  SBTRKT – Ezra performed with Chromeo yesterday so who knows if he will show up again when SBTRKT play the small stage (!) tonight.
– Human Behavior – Bjork – Did you read her interview in Time Out, hot on the heels of her excellent performances back in March, she promises a bigger wilder sound today. Personally, I’d be happy to see the same show I saw at City Center.
– Strobe – Deadmau5 – He sounds better in 2015 then he did in 2011 because in 2015 he sounds like an EDM roots artist in a world of Avicii wannabes, even on this strange keyboards extravaganza – B
– Morocco – Moon Taxi – The sound of alt folk rock, and they get it right here, a catchy pop track that works well – B
– Misunderstood – Pete Townshend – Pete wants to be “obscure and oblique” on this very catchy should be catchy where Pete shows his human frailty and let’s you look into his daydream world – A
– Sheraton Gibson – Pete Townshend – Pete in Cincinnati, playing his Gibson – B+
– Worst Behavior – Drake – The motherfucker never loved us – A
– Hold On, We’re Going Home – Drake – Drake’s finest love song, a triumphant soul song – A+
– Marshall Law – Kate Tempest – If I miss this poet I will be seriously pissed. 1215? Really?? When am I meant to write?? – A
