These Days: Saturday, June 6th, 2015
New York City: I couldn’t swear if it has something to do with Stop And Frisk, or the random switch and change of life, but Bill de Blasio will lose his job if he doesn’t get the quality of life under control. Homelessness is rampant with aggressive scary folks on the streets, the MTA is a crap shoot, people are being mugged in Central Park everyday, murders are up 20% over last year which were up 11% over the year before. All of this without the 1970s added plus of being cheap.
Recorded: Listening to a steady diet of Gorgon City and Rudimental, two UK dance bands much better live than on record for some reason and so good live, I keep on backtracking and wondering if I missed the boat somewhere… which I might but I can’t hear quite where.
Live; Day two of the Governors Ball gig and exhaustion is already setting in. Any real problem? Glad you asked, what’s with the damn internet connection! at Randall’s Island. I was trying, with mixed results, to review live and by threeish gave out. Shout out to Alyson for her help. Today, ALyson is off to Pasadena’s “Make Music” Festival so expect even less.
Sports: But which Sport?? Sepp Blatte, the pug ugly old former head of FIFA and Russian model, currently seeing Bradley Cooper, Irina Shayk, were dating. Wow, money and power -you can’t beat it.
