WINDS OF PLAGUE – "Drop The Match"

Wow.

Deathcore band Winds of Plague, have released and 'official video' for their single "Drop The Match".  I offer you this prime example of how a video can destroy a song.  This high school film class video is one of the silliest things I have seen in a great while.  I would laugh at a video like this if it didn't piss me off so much.
This 'conceptual' story with completely plays in to all of the generic stereotypes of this genre'.  Blood, violence, guns, sex.. and the obligatory scary clown.  C'mon already a straight up performance video would have been more effective.

Lead singer (?)  "Johnny Plague".(seriously dude, you couldn't do better than that for a stage name?) looks like a fool behind super imposed flames.  Money was spent on this, its certainly not going to earn them fans.  If it does, it would be rather surprising and prove once and for all that a sucker is born every minute.

The song itself, its very very good.  A chilling sort of background sound that makes me want to keep the light on.  The video takes the powerful impact of a well growled song and makes it the horror equivalent of "Motel Hell" or "Seed of Chucky".

Fire your publicist, you deserve better.
