Of course Ezra Koenig can sing “Blurred Lines” -he can sing falsetto, why shouldn’t be able to sing it. And while the rap here is the worst part by this fun cover of this years “Call Me Maybe” (only better).
Recorded at BBC Radio 1′s Live Lounge earlier this week, the band play it with ease suggesting that the lines between one and another, especially when t comes to a band as rhythm bound to as Vampire Weekend, are getting smaller and smaller.
Meanwhile, Robin said “The Benny Hill Show” inspired the video: “I wanted to make a Benny Hill-type video, something fun,’ he told Metro. “I’m getting all the buzz and burn, but when I watch it makes me smile. It doesn’t even look dangerous.”
Also, something about the bounciness reminds me of the Benny Hill theme music.
