Two Kurt Cobain Movies For 2015? There May Be A Reason For This

Kurt (MTV Unplugged)

There are two Kurt Cobain projects in the work, you may have heard about one of them (‘Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck’ which will air on HBO next year) because it was largely publicized, but a bit less about the second one, the movie ‘Soaked in Bleach’, focusing on the events leading up to the death of Kurt. It wasn’t clear whether Courtney Love was involved in the making of the first one, we were first told that she wasn’t and then the news came that her daughter was the producer. But director Brett Morgen recently declared that it was in fact Love’s idea:

‘Courtney Love first came to me with the idea for Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck in 2007. She was hoping to make a film that revealed a deeper understanding of Kurt than had been depicted in the media. While several parties control rights to Kurt’s music, Courtney and her daughter, are the sole rights holders to Kurt’s belongings, which are used quite readily throughout the film. In granting me access to his possessions, Courtney gave me permission to use the items in any manner I deemed appropriate for the film. She never asked for any editorial involvement. In today’s age, and particularly when making a film on a public figure, it is virtually unheard of to grant this kind of access to a filmmaker. And for that I will always be grateful.’

Doesn’t he see through her game? This was her way to groom the guy, making him believe she was giving him full control of the movie, … how could he say/show anything wrong about Courtney Love after that? she was making him believe she was making him a big favor, and he had to be very grateful…

On the other hand, ‘Soaked in Bleach’, which has already been qualified of ‘death conspiracy film’ by certain media, will probably be released in 2015. The movie is challenging the official version and narrates the story seen through the eyes of private detective Tom Grant, who was hired by Courtney Love herself. Grant is now convinced that Love used him as a smokescreen to cover up what really happened: a murder. The ex-LAPD turned P.I. thinks he was used and manipulated by Love and that she purposely kept him from the greenhouse during his search, whereas Cobain’s body had been lying there for days.

Tom Grant just posted on Facebook a letter he received from a California attorney, and  they both think that the HBO film is a strategy to distract the public from his Soaked in Bleach film. Here is Grant’s Facebook post:

‘Following is a letter from a California licensed attorney who I’ve been communicating with this past year. His thoughts are so well expressed that I felt our supporters might want to read his last e-mail to me. He did give me his permission to share this:

Just wanted to throw in my two cents about the “authorized” KC documentary that’s been getting some press. I think it’s pure damage control and aimed at distracting from SIB. Apparently Frances Bean is an executive producer of it; I feel sorry for her as I believe she is likely being exploited here in order to make it more difficult to attack the authorized documentary.

Multiple factions clearly have a stake in maintaining the official KC death narrative, and I’m sure their PR folks are in full swing. I wouldn’t be surprised if they would go so far as to even attempt to tarnish KC’s name in some way if it would help them. It really is amazing what happens in this world when one challenges power; the reactions are very predictable yet it’s always jarring to see people strive so hard to avoid accountability.

Clearly it’s a big deal when the former chief of the SPD states the investigation should be reopened; even though SIB hasn’t been released yet it’s a shame the news media isn’t giving that fact the newsworthy attention it deserves.

This all reaffirms in my mind how worthwhile this battle is. Keep up the fight!’

Indeed, in the trailer of ‘Soaked in Bleach’, the former chief of the Seattle police department is saying he would reopen the investigation and it is a big deal!! There are enough unclear things in this story to look into it and this new Cobain documentary looks like another Courtney Love’s strategy to turn the attention around. I am waiting for the theatrical release of ‘Soaked in Bleach’, it will probably be bashed by Love’s sycophants (and there are a lot of them around) but it may open some eyes on another investigation, which was totally butchered by the police.

  1. I wouldn’t put anything past that woman. She focused on Kurt as her ticket to stardom and wealth from the moment she met him. Like a sort of spiritual vampire, she sucked him dry. I can’t say for sure that she murdered him, but I am pretty confident that meeting her was his death sentence, one way or another….
