Live: The week belonged to Neil Young, whose four night stint at Carnegie Hall will be long remembered by any one who saw it as a journey through his greatest music and a treat for fans of the great rocker.

Recorded: Another quiet week, the Stephen Malkmus and Kid Ink were nothing all that much and new new John Newman was anticlimactic, especially since I was so sick I missed the show!

Personal: Caught a cold and in 5 degree weather struggled with it the whole week!

Local: Bridegate comes to Governor Christie, who exacted revenge on the Mayor of Fort Lee Mark Sokolich for not supporting Christie’s re-election bid  by closing two lanes of traffic one day and causing hours of delays. Then the idiot got caught.

National: The coldest weather ever recorded, it was colder in New York than in Alaska. Meanwhile the folks in Florida and Los Angeles sneered. Of course this summer, it will be warm in New York and they’ll still live in Florida and L.A.

Sports: Let’s go 49ers… and A-Rod got a year suspension.

So begins another year at rock nyc… our 5th year on April 9th… and wait till you see what we have planned: nothing.
