Recorded: Elton John releases his best album in a long long long time, and Drake and Kings Of Leon keep on doing what they always do, with no small amount of success. Bassist Kevin Jenkins drops a real good soul album and Icona Pop owed us more than five new songs. But we will take it.
Live: Any time you are going to see Stevie Wonder, it is gonna be the highlight of the week, though it was an odd week that started with Lionel Richie and ended with Ben E. King and with not that much to show for it. Some times the shows just don’t quite click.
Sports: The Yanks are out of the players and Mariano Rivera and Andy Pettite are retiring, Meanwhile, the Giants are starting the season 0 – 4 or is that uh oh – 4. At least the Jets are still in in.
National: A US President speaks to an Iranian Prime Minister for the first time since 1979 while the Government runs out of money and we are one step closer to Obamacare.
Local: The Republicans are painting Bill Di Blasio into a mix of Che Guevara and Michael Mulgrew. Whatever, I can promise you if there is a serious spike in crime it will be four years and out.
