Week: 35
Death: I’ve held off writing too much about Robin Williams suicide because there isn’t that much to add except, look it was his life, his kids are grown up, he left them money, he had problems, he was a manic depressive and if he wanted to kill himself, what business is it of the vastly overrated Henry Rollins. who got it wrong. Again.
Recordings: The week of the single, two of them, “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift” and “Almost Like The Blues” ruled my life for two days at least. Other than that, if I could go back in time I think I’d make the new Kimbra the album of the week.
Live: Hands down, Drake and Lil wayne played the most awesome set in the world. That’s all, you may leave now.
Sports: Every time I count the Yanks out, they go on a run. As I write, 3 games out of the wild card, 7 games out of first. So we will see. For sure, they can’t afford another four game losing streak.
Television: The return of Dr. Who with Peter Capaldi now playing the titular role and I want Matt Smith back pronto.
War: ISIS? be careful of what you build
Transitions: Mary Rudzis off to college, rock nyc’s little girl all grown up…. waaaaah!
