It is all very well for the Yanks to reel off 5 wins in row but whither the Knicks? No playoffs and check this out, owned by a Russian and in their second year have made the playoffs. Enough already Dolan, give the Knicks to J Lo along with the Fuse. She can’t do any worse.
This matters because it goes to the heart of this young, working class, personal well past solipsism rock band. Campbell’s poetics are works of imagery not metaphor. His words are so very very subjective and they are real acts of dramatic license
Play “God Only Knows” At My Funeral – Fireworks – It doesn’t live up to its title, but, honestly what song could. Isn’t the name alone good enough. It is a beautiful smart pop punk masterpieces and one of the songs of the year – A
Though quite ‘mainstream’-sounding and not as pop punk as it claims, it’s a good listen and a good starter album for anyone getting more into said pop-punk scene. It’s well done, very smooth, and ridiculously catchy.
I’m not entirely sure if they’re gonna be sticking with this niche, but with lyrics like, “I stopped searching for the holy ghost because I’m in hell,” you can’t help but think that these guys aren’t Bible-thumpin’ church-goers.
“The guitars are tight and clean, which leaves wiggle room for David, the singer, to really experiment and it totally works out. It’s not just the music itself that’s great, it’s the lyrics too. “I stopped searching for the answers. I’ve learned my lesson ’cause time is just a rhetorical question and I came out with a bang,” is just so well written.”
