I’m On Fire – AWOL Nation – I totally missed this, off the 50 Shades of Gray soundtrack, but it is really lovely and it is also a little on the quiet side, it is like they don’t want to hard sell you with everything all around, Bruce is all edge, and here there is just a huge sense of distress – B+
Muse has established a sound and a look, dark and damn serious, with retro-sci-fi-looking outfits, they performed as if they were doing a Shakespearian play with battles directed by David Lynch and scored by Ennio Morricone,… well they used ‘Once Upon a Time in the West’ at one point.
The Dylan album is a very good but he also got lucky, this is one of the weakest weeks you’ll find not surrounding Christmas. The Girlpool single is a revelation. If you haven’t heard the new AWOLNATION single, you only have yourself to blame.
It’s 2:30A and I am wide awake. What I really want to do is go back to sleep but I know myself too well. I’ll lay here for an hour or so and not fall asleep until about 4A which typically would be okay but I really want to go to the gym and Spin at 5:30A
