Staind Frontman Calls Out Molestation In Crowd

I’m not a Staind fan, as you probably could’ve guessed, but after what happened at Rockfest in Kansas City, I have an immense amount of respect for the group.

A young girl was trying to crowd surf at the show, and apparently was being sexually harassed.  The lead vocalist, Aaron Lewis, stopped mid-song to point it out.
“Alright, listen up, you fucking assholes. That fucking girl right there is like fifteen fucking years old, and you fucking pieces of shit are molesting her while she’s on the fucking crowd.  If I fucking see that shit again, I swear to god, I will point you out in the crowd and have everyone around you beat your fucking ass.”
I’m glad someone’s spoken up about it because I see it all the time, and though you definitely can’t avoid being felt up while crowd surfing, apparently there were men deliberately touching this girl inappropriately.  There’s a big difference between an awkward touch and an attempt at groping.
However, on Facebook, a commenter wrote, “This d-bag says this shit at every concert. He says it just to make people like him and his crappy music more,” and goes on to explain more. “I saw Staind a few years ago, well, like 4 songs, cuz they are pretty terrible. He said it then as a warning to all the molesters there. I’m pretty sure I’ve ‘molested’ many more guys crowdsurfing than girls. All I know is when I’m getting kicked in the back of the head I’m grabbing whatever to help that person move forward in the crowd.”
Regardless of whether or not that’s true, it’s still a good sentiment.  Don’t try and grab a young girl’s boob cos you’re too desperate and lame to get it any other way.  Keep drinking your beer and saying Staind is the best band in the world and let people have a good time.  Keep ya hands off.
